PARWAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan - A French military police Soldier watches over his canine partner who suffered major injuries to two of its legs during a patrol Nov. 16.  U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Michael Hubbard, a medic with C Company Dustoff, Task Force Phoenix, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, stabilized the canine during their flight as they transported the two to Bagram Airfield as U.S. Army Sgt. Damian Schwab assisted.  Hubbard, a native of Alabama, administered general aid and oxygen to the injured military canine.  Canines have similar anatomy to humans making it helpful for medics to maintain their health on a flight to a veterinarian.
